Motivation

I've set myself a standard expected of me to preced though I often deviate from it.
Why do I?
This is a question which academicians sought to answer from disciplines ranging from philosophy, psychology, anthropology and such within the social science sphere.
According to MacMullen in his book
Why Do We Do What We Do, it is due to the motivation in which either compeled or impinged. Thus, contributing to the respective outcomes of the aforementioned question: either fulfilling or not those said standards.
